About the Event:
After a Glen Forest Elementary School team advanced from regional to state level competition last year, in only the school's first year of participation in the Odyssey of the Mind competition, Glen Forest entered multiple teams into the competition this year. One of our teams again advanced to the state level competition and on April 6 was announced as one of the Virginia representatives at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, to be held this year on the campus of Michigan State University from May 22-25! We are unbelievably proud!!!
The money raised by this campaign will go to cover the team's travel expenses to East Lansing, Michigan; room and board at Michigan State University for the team, their families and coaches during the 4-day competition; and, other expenses associated with participation in the World Finals. Any leftover funds will be earmarked by the Glen Forest Elementary School PTO for use by future year's GFES' Odyssey of the Mind teams!

Glen Forest Elementary is a Title I school in the Fairfax County, Virginia, Public School district with over 1,100 students and perhaps the most ethnically, racially, and culturally diverse elementary school student population in the Commonwealth.
