Help our Ginger beat Ewing Sarcoma
Donation protected
On October 12 our ginger Michael was officially diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma around his right fibula after being in pain for the last 3 months and not knowing why or how to fix it. After many tests (ultrasound, xrays, CT scans and MRIs) and doctors appointments we finally had an answer as to why Michael was in so much pain everytime he walked.
The last few weeks since the diagnosis have been a whirlwind with doctors appointments, Pet Scans, biopsies and driving 3 hours back and forth from our home in Port St. Lucie to University of Miami or to Moffitt in Tampa to find the best plan of action to attack this head on.
After speaking with doctors the current plan of action is 6 cycles of in patient chemotherapy where Michael will be in the hospital for 6 days straight and then 2 weeks off with blood work in between each cycle 3 times a week. Then he will have surgery to remove his right fibula bone and have 8 more additional cycles of the in patient chemotherapy.
Due to the numerous doctor's appointments and traveling Monique (Michael's mother) has not worked since August 2021. We are driving back and forth 3 hours each way from home to the doctor's appointments, gas, possible hotel stays, food and the unknown amount of medical bills that will be upcoming in the future we are asking for donations to help with the impending costs that come with Michael's diagnosis.
