Help Us Bring Our Beloved Blue Home

Our hearts are shattered, and we are reaching out for help to bring our beloved dog, Blue, back home to us.

Blue is a 3 year old German Shepherd–Labrador mix who has been part of our family since he was just five weeks old. From the very beginning, he has been more than a pet he is our baby, our protector, and our loyal companion. He has the biggest heart when it comes to his family and especially our children. Blue loves to cuddle, play, and be close to us at all times. His devotion and unconditional love make him an irreplaceable part of our lives.

Blue is naturally protective and experiences anxiety, particularly around unfamiliar situations. Because we wanted to give him the best possible support, we enrolled him in professional obedience training to help him feel more confident and secure. He loves his kennel and feels safe in it, which made us confident that he was ready for travel.

Recently, our family relocated to Germany, and of course, Blue was meant to come with us. We completed all the necessary preparations, including obtaining his health certificate and booking his flight with Lufthansa. On the day of travel, everything was going smoothly until the flight was unexpectedly canceled due to an airline strike. Blue handled the situation calmly, and we remained hopeful that he would soon be reunited with us.

When we were rebooked for another flight, we believed the hardest part was behind us. Tragically, during the next boarding attempt, Blue barked as airline staff approached his kennel. Because of his deep bark, he was deemed too intimidating and was denied boarding. The airline staff was rude and heartless we asked if we could give him gapetin for anxiety he said No

We begged with tears and explained we need him to come to our new home but he said NO

In that heartbreaking moment, we had no choice but to leave the airport without him.

Now, our precious Blue is still in the United States, separated from the only family he has ever known. Our home feels incomplete, and our hearts are broken into a thousand pieces. The silence where his joyful presence should be is unbearable, especially for our children who miss him deeply every day.

We have booked another flight, and our daughter will travel back to the U.S. this Sunday to try once more to bring Blue home, this time with the support of a veterinarian to ensure he can travel safely and calmly. However, the unexpected costs of rebooking flights, veterinary care, transportation, and airline fees have created a significant financial burden for our family.
