My name is Sunny Carden. My husband and I have 10 kids (5 still at home) and three dogs. I've worked the past 20 years as a hairdresser and have had carpal tunnel surgery recently that has left me unable to work and has left quite a financial gap. The struggle is real.

Recently, our Alaskan Malamute/Husky mix girl (age 11) has had a bad skin condition and a lame right hind leg. Needless to say, she is miserable. We took her to the vet today and were barely able to afford her vet visit and meds for discomfort and antibiotics.

The vet thinks her leg has bone cancer, but we cannot be sure until she has X-rays. Then, if there is cancer, we'll need blood tests to see if it's spread or if we can just do a hind leg amputation, which will then cost about $2,000 just for the surgery. It is unlikely that it is hip dysplasia, but if that is the case, she would need surgery for that as well. We love our girl and she is showing signs of lots of life left in her. We desperately want to give her the golden years that she deserves. Anything you can spare, even just a prayer or good thoughts and energy toward her, is GREATLY appreciated!
