Help our friends at the Portway!

Beloved St. Johns bar, neighborhood haunt, and the closest thing we have to a Cheers suffered a terrible fire at 4:30 am on 9/6/21. It's a huge loss to the community, and even more so for our beloved bartenders who worked there and made it the welcoming home away from home that so many of us loved.

While the future of the Portway is in question, I can only hope that you'll be able to help Tayler, Maggie, and Julie as they're looking at several weeks without income.

I'll personally never forget the first time I came to the Portway and ordered a double vodka soda in a pint glass. The bartendress turned to me and said..

"Young man, have you ever had a drink here?"

"Can't say I have!"

"You'll never have to order a double here son, we make 'em strong"

That said, let's pool our resources and show how strong North Portland can be in supporting our friends who've been there for us so many times before.
