Dear Supporters,

my beloved friend is living with ME/CFS (Myalgische Enzephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrom) - they are weekly, sometimes daily in pain and need to pay immense amounts of medical bills to receive treatments, therapies and medical counseling. It is one of many chronic illnesses they have. Living with this disease can lead to social isolation, mistreatment and not being taken seriously. On top of indescribable physical pain, this too causes emotional distress and anxiety. Doctors and medical staff often do not believe patients because the disease has not been researched enough. Our friend is also queer and femme presenting and is therefore all the more exposed to gaslighting and violence when it comes to being treated.
