Help Our Friend Spryte Recover from Medical Malpractice

Hello! we're Raven, Jerrin, and Bernabe, and we are creating this page to help raise funds for our friend Spryte. 3 years ago Spryte had a medical emergency and had to go to the ER due to endometriosis. Against Spryte's protest to use their non-dominant arm, a nurse put an IV into their left arm, accidentally severing a median nerve which put Spryte into shock and directly caused them to have a stroke. This has resulted in permanent damage to their dominant arm.

Upon trying to seek legal action, they discovered that the governer of Texas had passed a law in 2003 (the Texas Medical Malpractice and Tort Reform Act) that set the statute of limitations to only 2 years instead of 5. This means that they are unable to pursue legal action because the statute of limitaions ended a year ago and the hospital in question took well over half a year to investigate themselves, and additional months to report that they found no evidence of medical malpractice.

We are creating this fundraiser to help Spryte get some of the money that they would have gotten from the hospital. Anything helps, and we appreciate anything that you can give to help our friend!
