About a year ago, a group of us came together to help Sergio rebuild his life after the abrupt partial amputation of his legs due to health complications. Without a road map or roles and responsibilities, we responded to a call to action because our moral compasses demanded it. After months of receiving medical care and thanks to the generous donations of an angel donor, Sergio is learning to walk with his prosthetic legs. We are told he will be ready to resume his life in Mexico where he will be supported by his family in about six weeks.
