Help our friend Ollie in his battle with FND.

Dear Friends, Family and Community,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts to support our dear friend, Ollie, who has been bravely battling Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). FND is a complex condition that affects how the brain and body communicate, resulting in a range of debilitating symptoms, including chronic pain, loss of movement, difficulties with speech, seizures and extreme fatigue.

Unfortunately, these symptoms have led Ollie to rely on a wheelchair for over a year now, and his condition may continue to deteriorate without the proper therapy and care.

Ollie has been waiting for acceptance into multiple clinics, but he has faced frustrating rejections due to red tape and being out of catchment areas. This has highlighted the significant gaps in the public health system for those suffering from FND, a condition that is still not well-researched or understood.

Ollie is a fighter, but he needs our help to access a specialized physical therapy program that could significantly improve his quality of life. Apart from all his other medical bills this program is costly, and with Ollie unable to work, the financial burden has become overwhelming for him and his partner.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping Ollie regain some independence and improve his ability to communicate and engage with the world around him.
