Help our friend Marie

Our dear friend and former nanny Marie just tragically lost her husband, who was also the father of their wonderful daughter Marjorie. This came completely out the blue and has shocked her family to the core. Marie is a remarkable woman. As well as taking care of our son Ashwin in the most perfect way anyone could hope for, she has worked multiple service jobs, often at the same time, saving every penny to move her husband and daughter to Canada and start a new life ..... finally all together. After all this, this cruel twist of events is simply brutal. While financial assistance will fall way short of fixing things, we know it will help. Marie and Marjorie were both there for us when we needed them. Even after we parted ways, they still drop off treats for us, and presents for Ashwin. They were just here the other day doing this! Marie has a heart of gold, and we want to be there for her when she needs us! We’ll be making a meaningful donation ourselves, of course. But we can give so much more with the added help of others. Marie has bills to pay, but also needs to be able to spend time with Marjorie who just lost her father, the man who single handedly raised her while her mom was working very hard thousands of miles away to give them all a better life. We would like to do everything possible to ensure she doesn’t feel she needs to work all hours just to make ends meet. It’s too much to put on any one person, especially one as kind hearted as a Marie. Please help!
