Help our friend Kathy Miller beat leukemia

Austin's most badass hairstylist and friend Kathy Miller was recently diagnosed with B Cell ALL leukemia. She will be at St. David's South Austin for at least the next month undergoing an intense course of chemotherapy and treatment. 

 

A long-time Austinite, proud Latina, and staple of the local film community, Kathy is a most loyal friend, partner, sister, aunt, and colleague. She is the ride or die of MANY and always puts her friends and family above her own needs. Those who know her, love her giant laugh, huge heart, intense work ethic, and excellent taste in music.

 

Funds raised will help ease the financial burden of loss of income and help with expenses while undergoing treatment.

Though Kathy is self-employed, she is fortunate to have some healthcare benefits through the IASTE Local 484. Her insurance will not cover all of her treatment though and any amount is appreciated.  The last few years have been extremely stressful and uncertain times...  especially for those in her industry whose ability to earn a living has been unpredictable at best. 

Her treatment will be long and hard but she is the toughest person I know. Helping financially will allow her to concentrate on her health and continue to shine her bright light on everyone around her.
