Hello, my name is Mike Santos and I’m fundraising for my friend Jim Jueneman. Jim was recently diagnosed with a melanoma of his left eye. This diagnosis took Jim by surprise and rocked him to his very core. Luckily he was able to find a doctor who would take his Medicaid at the UC Davis Eye Institute In Sacramento California. After many tests on his eye a treatment plan was established for Jim. The treatment plan for his condition has a high success rate (95%) as they were able to catch the melanoma early. His condition if left untreated would mean a loss of his eye and or the cancer metastasizing into his liver. The treatments require several trips to both UC Davis and UC San Francisco. Fortunately Medicaid covers the medical costs of the treatments but not the expense of travel to and from California. I’ve established this fundraiser to ask for help to cover the travel expenses while Jim is getting treated ie… lodging, food and gas. Thankfully, we have had friends of Jim willingly step up to take him to his appointments. I thank you for taking the time to consider helping Jim. He is optimistic and greatly appreciates the help and all of you. Prayer is powerful so please keep him in your prayers and ask for peace as he goes through this stressful time in his life.
