Short story: Our friend "Soku" (using a nickname for safety reasons) has suffered from serious, undiagnosed chronic health issues since at least 2018. Doctors suspect conditions like hemochromatosis or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, but he needs genetic testing, a liver ultrasound, and an EKG to confirm, costing up to $1,500. Because disability was denied, this is a major financial burden. Any financial help or prayers would be deeply appreciated to support him and his family.

Longer story: Our dear friend Soku has been suffering from a variety of undiagnosed chronic health conditions for as long as we've known him (we met in 2018).

His hardest physical symptoms include fatigue, amnesia, muscle pain, difficulty with cognitive function, and more. He is dealing with all of this on top of several diagnosed sleep disorders and a past traumatic brain injury.

He has the opportunity to receive gene testing, a liver ultrasound, and an EKG in order to figure out what's wrong with him. (They currently suspect hemachromatosis or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.)

He was given a rough estimate of $1,500 for all of those tests. Due to his being denied disability, this would be a tremendous burden on his low-income family.
