Help Our Friend Get His Home Back For Christmas

I am publicly reaching out to our community to ask for any support for a very close friend of ours. Kareem Eltrhonny.

Two nights ago, he lost EVERYTHING! His home and everything he owned was destroyed, and is now sitting on the bottom on the Metedeconk river in Brick. It sunk two days ago. Thank goodness he was not inside the boat sleeping at the time.

Those of you who know Kareem know that he is a huge dreamer and he has a heart for adventure. He lived on his 35ft houseboat and worked in a marina until yesterday. He is a minimalist and super self sufficient so he kept all of his belonging  & tools for his trade on his boat. His job is seasonal and its slow, so he had to take a layoff yesterday.  He stayed on my couch last night and literally didn’t even have a change of clothes.

He is FRANTICLY trying to raise his home. He’s under a lot of pressure from the marina to get it out of the water immediately. They gave him a $8,500 quote for the salvage, but he cannot afford it. Ontop of the salvage cost, he literally has lost everything. Even the only keys to his  only vehicle. He doesn’t have insurance for anything(except for his vehicle).

This is the worst time of year to lose your home. This is the season for love, happiness & joy. Please donate anything you can to help him afford to salvage his home and restore his independence. He would not ask for anything but always offer to help others. This time he needs a hand.  Thank you for anything, a share, a helping hand or financial support -anything would be greatly appreciated.
