Our friend is in the middle of an unimaginable battle—fighting for justice in a criminal rape case while also struggling to survive and care for a loved one in a serious medical condition. She had to leave her home for her own safety, forced to move quickly and without preparation. Now, she is left without the means to support herself during this grueling investigation, despite doing everything in her power to stay afloat—she has reached a point of exhaustion.

Surviving trauma is hard enough. But when you're battling PTSD, a criminal legal fight, and the daily struggle to keep going, it becomes nearly impossible to sustain full-time work, stability, and relationships. She has pushed forward for as long as she could, but now she needs our help.

To make things even more urgent, her elderly caregiver— one of the few people who has been a source of support—is now in a serious medical emergency. He is extremely vulnerable, isolated, and has no one else to care for him. She needs to fly home to advocate for him and get him the assistance he requires, but because of her current circumstances, she does not have the financial means to do so.

This is an emergency.

She has exhausted all options and has no family to turn to. But we can be her community.
