Help Our Friend Fight ICE Detention
Donation protected
Yesterday, our dear friend and colleague was unexpectedly detained by ICE while attending a scheduled court hearing—despite doing everything the right way.
She has followed every legal step required of her, consistently shown up for court, and remained fully compliant with her immigration process. She has never broken the law. She is honest, hard-working, and deeply committed to building a safe, meaningful life here in the United States.
Her home country is not safe, and staying there is simply not an option. Like so many others seeking a better life, she came here with hope—and has done everything by the book. She spends her days working hard, attending church, and staying closely connected to her family and friends. She is a light in our lives and in our community.
Now, she is at risk of losing everything:
She has been placed in detention with no clear timeline
She is at risk of losing her apartment and personal belongings
She urgently needs legal representation—but cannot afford an immigration attorney
We are asking for your help to raise funds for:
Legal representation to fight for her release
Bond (if granted) to get her out of detention
Basic needs such as rent, food, and transportation while she recovers from this crisis
Any amount—no matter how small—makes a difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page with your network means the world to us.
Let’s come together and stand by someone who has done everything right, but now finds herself in an unjust and terrifying situation.
Thank you for your support, compassion, and solidarity.
