Our Friend Duarte suffered a horrible motorcycle accident while visiting his family in Portugal.

At first we did not know if Duarte would be able to move from the neck down.

After emergency surgery he is slowly starting to move his hands but it will be a long way before he is able to walk again.

Unfortunately Duarte will not be able to return to Canada until he recovers enough to travel and the hospital expenses are not covered.
