UPDATE 2

Deda had a minor setback with her knee replacement; she had excessive swelling and had to go into the ER where they had to clean and sterilize her knee to avoid additional swelling.

Unfortunately, her recovery is at least 6-8 weeks and she can't work as a caregiver until the doctor's release her. If anyone deserves a helping hand it's Deda. She puts everything into her patients as a caregiver and anything we can do to help is greatly appreciated.

Today (Friday, August 1) Deda had a successful knee replacement.

When my Dad was on death's door in 2023 from a UTI, Deda came over to Mobile from her home in Baton Rouge to help in Dad's recovery. I was at my wits end trying to help Dad and my stepmother and Deda came in and gave me a break and took over his care and recovery. She was a godsend and my angel here on earth. That's why I'm trying so hard to help Deda in her time of need -- it's very important to me because she was there for me and my family & so giving to me and my Dad in a time of great need.

This is our very dear lifelong friend Deda Richardson. She worked for me and my mother at our hair salon in Mobile, Alabama for a lot of years. She is a wonderful person. Deda is facing knee replacement surgery. Her knee is in very bad shape and the doctor just advised her the surgery is required immediately.

Deda is a caregiver and the stress of the work has taken a toll on her body & specifically her knee. Deda is fantastic at what she does but she has no one in her life to help her out physically or financially during her 3 months recovery & she has no extra funds to pay her bills over the next couple of months.
