Help Our Friend Dec

An important message from Andy Maunders.... Hi people. Everyone knows this has been a really tough year for many people, but some have had it worse than others. Dec Buckley is one of these people. As he finished working for one company at the end of last year, with the aim of starting a new job this summer, he fell through the cracks of any Government support and has not received a single Euro from them this summer....then, due to the situation that the ongoing Covid crisis has forced on the island of Ibiza he (like many others) has only managed a couple of weeks work in an entire year. With the  winter starting, and therefore no chance of work appearing for anyone, the last straw was being hit by a €900 fine last week for smoking outside! This has brought him to realise after nearly 20yrs of living here in Ibiza it is unfortunately time for him to head back to the UK, and this is where you, his friends, come in. Having made the decision he desperately needs  financial help to get both him and his cat Ozzy (who understandably Dec is unwilling to abandon here) back to the UK with his belongings. The cat will need injections etc. He simply can't manage this without our help. After all these years here, and with a pet, it's nowhere near as simple as getting on a cheap flight home. Plus he also needs  to somehow get himself on his feet when he arrives, as well as actually  get there. I hope even in these hard times people can remember all the laughter (and insults) provided by Dec over the years of knowing him, and can find something to donate to this cause....
