Darren Ellsworth's Fight Against Cancer

We, the family, and friends of Darren Ellsworth, initiated this fundraiser in aid of Darren (47) and his family (spouse Dawn Strong and 3 children, Markus, Harley, and Jacob)
On September 3, 2020, Darren was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage III testicular cancer with metastasis to his lungs, lymph nodes and large areas of tumor thrombosis (IVC and Renal Vein Thrombosis)
Darren has already undergone a radical orchidectomy and is now receiving chemotherapy until January 2021. A surgeon in Halifax has been consulted in case Darren requires future surgeries once his chemo is completed.
Darren is an outgoing individual and well known in his community for his fundraising efforts for local sports teams and large charities like the IWK. Since his spouse is currently off work, caring for Darren and their children, we felt that setting up a Go Fund Me page would be a great way to support Darren and his family during this difficult time while he battle’s cancer.
