Help our friend Carolina Pepe and her son Brian

I met Carolina Pepe in 2016 when her son Brian was assigned to my baseball team in Markham, Ontario.  Carolina, is a single mom.  She is mom to a kind and gentle 11-year old boy named Brian who is the light of her life.  Carolina's life has not been without its challenges.  She has a number of health issues yet she continues to work hard to support her son and herself.  They live pay cheque to pay cheque in a small one-bedroom apartment.  Carolina has no savings.  I have seen first hand the struggles that they are facing. 

Over the past 9 years, Carolina has worked for one company at a job she enjoyed.  Sadly, on Monday April 8th, 2019 the company went into receivership and was taken over by a bank trustee.  Employees were sent home and have been working without pay for the past 6 weeks. 

Carolina reached out to me last Tuesday evening looking for help.  She has no idea how she is going to make her next rent payment which is due on May 1st, 2019.  She has no idea how she is going to provide the basic necessities for her son and she is so scared that they will be evicted from their home.  Carolina is a very private person and would never ask for money because she is too ashamed. 

Finding a new job takes time and Carolina is committed to doing that but she needs money now to pay for rent, food and living expenses. 

I am begging you to help Carolina and Brian.  They need your support. There is no donation too small.  Please give all you can.
