Help our flood victim friends refurnish their home

Our friends Rogerio and Ana rent a small cottage in the area which was tragicallly hit by sudden flooding on Xmas day.

The flooding was so fast they were unable to save many of their possessions and were forced to evacuate to seek refuge elsewhere.

Rogerio and Ana have lost the majority of their possessions such as appliances, beds, furnishings, and furniture which I’m sure we can all appreciate must be a heart breaking event for them after working hard to build up their home.

These lovely people work hard in the care sector looking after others and have touched many of our lives with the kindness and joy they bring within the local community. They attend and support many dance classes, events, and have brought us joy in DJing and organising some too. They are lovely friendly people who always make an effort to include everyone around them and have welcomed many of us into their home and lives.

I know this is a big ask and they would never do so theirselves, especially when this has been a really tough year for many of us with covid hitting many peoples wallets  but I simply can’t imagine what it feels like to lose all your possessions. If people are unable to help with donations that’s understandable but please share the link for others who may be able to do so.

If you feel you are able to help even in some small way I know how much they would appreciate the gesture to help these lovely people begin to rebuild their home essentials and lives together. At a time like this we all need love in our lives so let’s get together and show Rogerio and Ana they have people who care and want to repay the kindness they show to others.
