Help our favorite teacher Jill Murphy

Dear friends, family and community members.

My name is Naama Ben Kessous. I am asking for support for my close friend of 12 years, Jill, who has been recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. Jill has been a teacher for the past 26 years. She is a single mother of four beautiful children. She has been working at Lamping Elementary School since 2006 teaching 1st and 2nd grade. Jill is a lover of nature, the beach, and animals. She cherishes her days with her children and her dogs. To Jill her students are such an important part of her world and calls her classroom students her kids.

Jill will be starting her chemotherapy treatments this week. Chemotherapy is once a week for the next 18 weeks. Her appointments are seven hours long. While she is ready to face this next chapter in her life, it will not be an easy journey. Jill is strong, she is a fighter and has a lot of positive vibes in her. One thing our community can do is help her financially as she battles all the new norms in her life.

We all know and understand that anyone who is going through this medically should never have to worry about the burden of all the medical bills not covered by insurance. I created this GoFundMe account for a person we all love and care for so deeply for. For our friend Jill.
