As some of you might know, our father contracted COVID in 2021, and it almost claimed his life. He spent a few months in the hospital trying to recover not only from the disease itself, but also from being on a ventilator for over a month while in the ICU. Since then, he has worked very hard to overcome the many physical challenges due to this experience. Unfortunately, because of some of the life-saving measures to treat the COVID, he's had to deal with secondary effects that have damaged other organs in his body. The damage to his lungs, liver, and kidneys, have been very severe resulting with my father needing to continue going back for treatments along with needing additional surgeries performed on him. Since his hospitalization, he's had 8 surgeries to fix some of these ongoing issues. It has been a long road during his recovery, but he has done it with a positive attitude and, most importantly, a will to continue living his life to the fullest.

These medical procedures have been very expensive, and although his insurance has covered a lot of the costs, there are still some out-of-pocket costs associated that he needs help paying off. Because of the medical issues that he has had to deal with due to contracting COVID, he hasn't been able to work like he used to. We have tried to support him in the best way that we can but have opted to do this GoFundMe as a way to seek help from our communities to help him pay off some of these medical bills that we unfortunately cannot cover by ourselves. We humbly ask for your support by giving any amount that you feel comfortable donating.

These funds will certainly help our family to continue supporting our father and helping him to move forward with faith and hope. It will also help him to continue providing for and raising his three teenage boys, which has been challenging for him due to these ongoing health complications. But he remains positive and hopeful.
