Help our father, Jose Luis Arellano, lay to rest
Donation protected
My dad, Jose Arellano, was a kind person that liked to make people laugh with his goofy faces and antics. His health began to decline when he turned 60.
On October 13th, 2021, he suffered a large stroke while watching Tom and Jerry at home. The stroke took a lot out of him. He became bedridden, requiring dialysis, a feeding tube, a ventilator to help him breathe, and developed multiple infections. My father fought to get better, making small improvements like regaining his ability to move his eyebrows and squeeze with his right hand. On May, 30th 2022, my dad suffered a cardiac arrest incident. The doctors did all they could, but my dad was too sick and he passed away surrounded by family the following day. We thank the Lord for taking his pain away. He will be dearly missed. He leaves behind a wife, Antonia, five children (Jose (Becca), Erica, Noel, Isela, & Jorge),and two grandchildren (Eliana & Max).
My dad was a mechanic. He fixed school buses. He was of humble means, but he donated his time volunteering at El Buen Samaritano Church Food Pantry and was always willing to help those in need. He was a kid at heart and enjoyed the simple things in life like a drive through the countryside, Tom and Jerry, and playing with his grandbabies.
We have met friendly people at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home and Prairie Home Cemetery, who are helping with my dad’s funeral arrangements. Our family needs help laying my dad to rest. Funeral will be held on June 11th, 2022. Donations will be used to cover funeral home and cemetery fees, casket, plot, and headstone. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
