Help our father in his battle against cancer

Donation protected
Our beloved father Jes, has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer which has spread to his liver. The tumors are inoperable, and the doctors have advised him to undergo immediate chemotherapy treatment. He has started his first round on Monday but unfortunately like many other families, the pandemic has caused a challenge for us financially and we would be humbled and grateful for any assistance to help our father beat this aggressive and horrible disease.
We as a family are only able to cover 40% of the cost of his treatments at the moment which is estimated to last the next 6 months.

Many have reached out to us to share how he has impacted their lives in colorful and positive ways.
Some might remember him as a young adult in the 80’s when he helped create a community among Malaysian students in New York and New Jersey along with other student and families in the area. He helped with the building of the Darul Islah masjid in Teaneck and always shared fond memories he had with the growing community.

His passion for community building and creating positive change has been his life’s work. He wrote a book entitled Awareness Before Change which his father Colonel Izaidin taught as a motivational class to over 50,000  students across 8 countries.

As a parent, he has taught us the value of integrity, hard work and compassion. He helped our local school as the head of the Parent Teacher Association to craft programs that promoted diversity and creativity. His concern and passion for the environment led him to create an NGO called the Tree Theatre Group that helped bring over 500 children for United Nation Programs to plant trees in countries around the world such as Africa, Norway, Japan, Korea, Sweden, Indonesia, Switzerland and United States. He has also initiated the world tree campaign in 2006.

He had dedicated the past 20 years in the fight for justice and democracy in Malaysia. It has been a road less taken but one that has given many people hope.

He is a man with a big heart and just as he had shared his time, energy and funds to help others we now are confident that we will be able to do the same for him in his time of need.

Our father has been gifted with the ability to communicate beautifully and he has been writing a poem a day for the past few years. He publishes them on Instagram under the handle @jeskarya and the following is one he has written recently after his diagnosis.  Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. May God Bless you and reward you.

Cannot Stay

Knowing and doing are poles apart
Why worry if nothing happens today
Why be sorry if know nothing at all
Just live and let live fullest each day
Like it’s the last day left to depart
Go where the road takes don’t stay put
For what is ahead our tales unfold
In the end that is all we can say
I lived a good life and did not stray
