Our family is overjoyed to share that my brother, James, will be ordained as a Roman Catholic priest in Cape Town, South Africa this coming December. This is a moment of profound grace and thanksgiving — not only for James, but for all of us who have walked this journey of faith with him.

We are reaching out to family, friends, and all who have supported James over the years to help make it possible for our loved ones to attend his ordination and celebrate this incredible calling.

James’ path to the priesthood has been anything but easy. At a young age, James was diagnosed with cancer, a battle that tested his strength, his hope, and his faith. Those years were filled with pain and uncertainty — but they also became the soil in which God planted a deeper purpose.

Through that suffering, James rediscovered the presence of God in his life. Over time, his heart was moved toward serving others, and ultimately, he answered the call to the priesthood. Now, after years of formation, prayer, and perseverance, he is preparing to say “yes” in the most profound way possible — through ordination.

For our family, this ordination is not only a celebration of James’ vocation, but also a testament to God’s faithfulness and healing. As the youngest of seven children, I’ve watched my brother’s journey with deep admiration, and I want to make it possible for all of us — siblings, parents, and close friends — to be present for this sacred day.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us surround James with the love and support of the people who have prayed for him and believed in him throughout the years.
