Justice for Dennis McCullough & Family Support

As some/many of you may already be aware, we recently lost an amazing, loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and an incredible friend to so many! Our family and the world, lost Dennis Michael McCullough Sr., a kind and loving man, way before his time!

Denny's sudden and unforeseen death has left his wife, Karen, who has been struggling with her own devastating health issues since last November, in an unfortunate financial nightmare of bills. Denny was by her side and went to every doctor appointment and treatment up until the day that 911 had to be called because his oxygen saturation level had dropped down to 40. We were unable to bring it back up. None of us, including Denny, knew that sad day on September 27th would be the last day that he would ever return to his house, to sleep in his own bed next to his wife, or cook another meal.

For those of you who knew Denny, I'm positive you would agree that he made an impact on your life in some way. He loved to have a good time and be surrounded by the people he loved! His smile was contagious, and he loved telling stories as much as he loved hearing new ones. He especially loved to hear a good joke.

Denny was also passionate about his cooking. He took so much pride, and put so much love into every meal that he ever made and served! We, along with many others, often told him that he should open his own restaurant!! Whether it was an outside summer barbecue, a holiday meal/special occasion or dinner for his family on a daily basis, it was prepared with love and to perfection. Denny often welcomed/invited anyone who had nowhere to go or no family close by to join us. He always said, "What's one more potato in the pot". We never knew who might be joining us for dinner. Maybe, one of us brought someone home unexpectedly, because that's what Den taught all of us. Anyone was always welcomed as if they were part of the family. To be honest, they did become part of the family! Holidays will never be the same without him! Life will never be the same without him!!

Sadly, Denny believed, as well as those close to him, the sudden decline in his lung capacity in the short few months leading up to his ultimate death, was not due to natural causes. He had never smoked. He led a healthy (especially in his younger years) natural lifestyle. If he wasn't running in a marathon, you may have seen him jogging with his dog, or riding his bicycle from Port Jervis to Pond Eddy or on Route 6 to Middletown back in the day.

We are trying to do all we can to honor Den's death and his final wishes. To be blunt, on his death bed, as he was surrounded by his wife, daughter and held his son's hand, he asked us to make them pay for what they did to him. For robbing him of precious time and cutting his life short! We requested that an autopsy be performed, but were told by the hospital that they would not be performing an autopsy. Denny did not meet their "criteria" for an autopsy to be done. Therefore, we needed to consult with an outside pathologist and the autopsy would have to be done at the funeral home at our expense.

In Denny's memory, we ask with a heavy heart, for any assistance that you can give in support of our families pursuit for justice. Any assistance with the expenses for the autopsy, funeral, and medical bills that have already accumulated, along with the new bills that arrive on a daily basis, would help tremendously.

We thank you for your generosity and appreciate any donation that you can afford to give!! If you would like more information, please feel free to contact us.
