Hello!

This is Joe, my husband and father to our beautiful 1 year old baby girl.

One day he came home thinking he had a pinched nerve in his back, next thing we knew he was in a coma on a ventilator, paralyzed from the neck down, he was diagnosed with GBS (guillian-barre syndrome) a very serious condition where his immune system attacks his nerves. He was on life support because the condition weakened his lungs and was struggling to breath and without intubation he would have died, while intubated he got pneumonia. And his heart kept slowing down and stopping for several seconds which he got a temporary pacemaker which is out now. This all happened starting on March 24th,2025. It took months in the icu then finally he got transferred to a care facility in new west minister, to do physiotherapy to learn how to do everyday activities like walking again..While I stayed home taking care of our daughter unable to work myself, These past months have been very tough and stressful. He is home with us now thankfully but it’s still going to be a long road until Joe recovers fully and is able to go back to work. He is an Electrician and the main provider for our family. We are asking for any donations to help us while he recovers and anything is truly greatful and extremely appreciated!!
