I’m reaching out today to ask for your support for my stepfather (My Dad), Dwayne Parker, and my mother, Jaclyn Parker.

Recently, Dwayne was diagnosed and underwent surgery for cancer. While we were hoping for a smooth and steady recovery, he unfortunately suffered severe complications that stopped his breathing. He required a blood transfusion and immediate emergency surgery to remove a large blood clot in his neck.

The road ahead is going to be much longer and more difficult than we anticipated. Dwayne will be relying on a tracheotomy to breathe and a feeding tube for several weeks. Because of his intensive medical needs, he will require 24-hour, around-the-clock care, which my mom, Jaclyn, will be providing.

Those who know Dwayne know that he is an amazing person who will give you the shirt off his back or lend you a hand without any hesitation. I've had the pleasure of having him in my life, and it pains me to see this unexpected turn of events has taken a massive physical and emotional toll on him and our family. On top of everything else, the medical bills from the multiple surgeries, extended hospital stay, and ongoing care are mounting rapidly.

I'm setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of Dwayne and Jaclyn Parker to help alleviate the overwhelming financial burden of these hospital bills. The goal is to allow Dwayne to focus 100% of his energy on healing and getting back on his feet, rather than stressing over the financial weight of this situation.
