I was recently laid off from my full-time job, which was our main source of income. My wife works part-time, but losing my job meant we lost about 50-60% of our monthly income. With rent due, bills piling up, and an 8-year-old child at home, we've found ourselves relying on the local food shelf just to get by. Our vehicle is barely running, so I often have to rely on rides or walk over a mile to work. Despite our best efforts, we just can't seem to get caught up. The rising costs of everything have really sunk us, and now we're facing an eviction notice dated April 1.
