My family and I are facing one of the most difficult moments of our lives. Due to a workplace injury, I have been out of work since October 1, which has made our longtime financial problems even harder to manage. As a result, we have fallen behind on our rent and utility payments. We had just reached an agreement with our landlord when we received a disconnect notice for our power. We are now at imminent risk of losing electricity in our apartment. The thought of losing our home has been overwhelming, and we are doing everything we can to keep our family together and safe.
