Our family won a five-year legal battle in Haiti after our home was illegally demolished by Mayor Wilson Jeudy. To enforce our victory, we must file a federal civil lawsuit in the United States, but the costs for translation, court fees, international service, and legal consultations are more than we can manage alone. The Haitian court ruled in our favor in December 2020, but Mayor Jeudy demolished our home anyway. Our only remaining recourse is a U.S. federal court, and we need your help to open that door.
Donations will cover certified translation of our Haitian court decision, international process server fees, initial legal consultations, court fees, preservation of evidence, and travel. Every dollar brings us closer to justice in a U.S. federal court. This is not the story of a family in distress, but a family who has already won justice and needs your help to make that victory count where it matters most.
We refuse to be silent. We won in court, but our home was demolished anyway. We need your help to enforce our victory in the U.S. Please share our campaign, tell our story, and give what you can. Every dollar funds a step forward. Our family deserves justice. Haiti deserves better leaders. The diaspora deserves to know there are remedies. Help us open the door to this court. We will do the rest.
