After many years living in Germany, my family and I have made the difficult decision to return to the United States and begin again. This is not an impulsive decision. It is one that has come after planning and reflection, with the hope of building a more stable future for our family.

Moving an entire household across the Atlantic is an enormous undertaking, and despite careful preparation, the remaining costs are more than we can manage on our own. We are asking for help to bridge that gap and make our return home possible. Our major relocation expenses are airfare to the United States, shipping our household from Germany, and a down payment on an affordable trailer home.

Many people may wonder why we are shipping our household instead of selling everything and buying new belongings after we arrive. The answer is simple: we are not shipping "furniture." We are shipping our home. Leaving everything behind would mean abandoning much of our family's history and then trying to rebuild an entire household from nothing. Shipping our household allows us to preserve the life we have built while making a fresh start in America.

Our goal is not luxury. Our goal is stability: to arrive safely, move into affordable, permanent housing, and begin rebuilding our lives without leaving everything behind.
