Hi everyone,

This is not something we ever imagined having to share, but our family is going through an incredibly difficult and unexpected situation, and we are asking for help during this transition.

After ongoing concerns in our home, we obtained an independent mold assessment, which confirmed mold contamination affecting the living space as well as personal belongings. Based on the findings, we were advised that professional remediation would be required and that many items could not be safely cleaned or salvaged.

For legal reasons, we are unable to share all details surrounding the situation at this time, but we can say that the findings were serious enough that we felt immediate action was necessary.

Out of concern for our children’s health and well-being, we made the difficult decision to leave the home quickly. Our children are 5 and 2 years old, and we felt it was critical to prioritize their safety while we worked through next steps.

Because of the extent of the contamination and the sudden move, we were forced to discard belongings that held deep personal and sentimental value including baby carriers, children’s items, furniture, and clothing we’ve had for years. Some of these items are truly irreplaceable, but keeping them was not considered safe.

This sudden displacement has come with overwhelming and unplanned expenses. In addition to moving and replacement costs, the stress of navigating this situation has taken a toll on our health. During this time, I sought medical care after experiencing elevated blood pressure and a burst blood vessel in my eye. My husband has also experienced concerning respiratory symptoms and has been advised to seek medical evaluation. These potential medical costs are something we were not prepared for while also trying to secure safe housing for our children.

Funds raised will help us with:

• Moving and relocation costs

• Replacing essential household and children’s items

• Basic furniture needs

• Medical testing and related expenses

• Costs already incurred during this process

We are sharing this fundraiser not to place blame or make accusations, but simply to ask for help as we work to rebuild a safe and stable environment for our family.
