Our Story of Survival, Rescue, and Rebuilding

When you think of a hurricane, you think of strong winds, heavy rain, and damage. You never imagine that one day you will be fighting simply to survive.

Our family experienced a hurricane that changed our lives in ways we never could have imagined. What started as a storm quickly became a terrifying fight against rising water, destruction, fear, and uncertainty. We watched the place we called home become damaged before our eyes, and there was nothing we could do but hold on and pray.

The fear of not knowing what was going to happen next was overwhelming. We were forced to leave behind things that took years to build, knowing that our safety had to come first. When help finally came, the rescue was something we will never forget. In that moment, we realized just how fragile life can be and how grateful we are for the people who risked themselves to help us.

The aftermath has been heartbreaking. Seeing the devastation, losing belongings, and facing the reality of rebuilding is something no family should have to experience. Even more difficult is seeing someone you love, who has always been strong and able to fix anything, completely devastated by what happened.

We are asking for help because we cannot do this alone.
