While trying to fix what we thought was a small soft spot in our floor, we uncovered a much larger and more serious issue. Hidden behind our shower was a slow, long-term pipe leak that the previous homeowners had simply patched over without truly fixing. As we investigated further, we realized the damage had been festering for years.

What began as a minor repair has turned into a complete disaster.

Our bathroom floor—and the floor of the adjoining room—has rotted through. The structural joists beneath need to be completely replaced, the walls surrounding the shower are compromised, and the tub and shower unit are beyond salvageable. Mold is already spreading, and we now have no safe place to shower. Worse still, the mold presents a serious health risk to us and our kids.

We’ve tried everything we can to handle this on our own, but we’re at a breaking point. The recent passing of my father-in-law, mounting medical issues, and ongoing vehicle troubles have drained every bit of our emotional and financial resources.

We’re asking for help—not for luxury, but for the basic safety and functionality of our home.
