Our property on the North Shore of Oahu, in Haleiwa, recently experienced severe flooding, which has turned our lives upside down. Six homes on our property were affected—two are no longer livable—and four vehicles were totaled, not including a motorcycle and two golf carts. Many of our appliances were damaged as well, leaving us with a long road to recovery. To make things even more challenging, my wife is pregnant and we are expecting our first child soon, which has added extra stress and urgency to our situation.
The funds raised here will help us get back on our feet. We need to repair the damages to our homes, replace essential appliances, and find new transportation so we can get to work and take care of daily needs. We’re also facing the challenge of finding temporary housing, all while preparing for the arrival of our first child, who is due on May 20th. The timing has made everything even more overwhelming, but we’re doing our best to stay hopeful and strong for our family.
I’m not usually a person to ask for help, but with how much damage this has caused our home and our Ohana, I’m reaching out to everyone and anyone willing to help. Anything will help. Mahalo for your kindness and support during this difficult time. Every bit of help brings us closer to rebuilding and welcoming our baby into a safe home.
