Sean and I have been on a long, challenging journey over the past three years. From the moment he was diagnosed with liver disease, our lives changed completely. After countless appointments, hospital stays, and anxious nights, Sean finally received a liver transplant. While we are deeply grateful for this second chance, the road to recovery has brought new challenges—especially as the bills have started to pile up. We have managed to stay afloat until now, but we are at a point where we need help to keep moving forward.
Right now, we have no household income, and every bit of support will go directly toward paying for medical bills, food, our house mortgage, car payment, household bill & our 4 fur babies. Not to mention the travel expenses required for ongoing follow-up care in San Francisco. There is another surgery pending, so the road to recovery is continuing. The weight of these responsibilities can feel overwhelming, but we are determined to keep fighting for a brighter future.
Sean's a nurse & will get back to caring for others, but now we need some care. He needed to step down from being a public health nurse. Sean has taken care of infants to the elderly. He was the lead during the Covid19 epidemic organizing clinics and providing vaccinations as well as managing medications for children in the foster system. His passion is psychiatric nursing. I am looking for stable employment but am also his caretaker so finding something that fits has been difficult. We want to join the living people again in enjoying life that is out there and not be so behind financially that this is not even an inkling in our future. It's been an arduous 3+ year journey from diagnosis to transplant to now recovery, any help we receive we would be beyond grateful and will be paid forward tenfold.
