Help Our Family Recover After House Fire

On Thanksgiving 2025, our lives changed in an instant. A kerosene heater malfunctioned and caught fire, quickly spreading through our home. My boyfriend rushed in trying to save our house and get our dog, Dozer, out to safety. In the process, he suffered severe third-degree burns covering over 15% of his body. He is currently in the burn unit and will be undergoing surgery on Monday, and may need a skin graft. Our home is a total loss. Everything inside was damaged or destroyed by fire and smoke. We are now without a place to live, without basic household necessities, and without reliable transportation after our only vehicle broke down during this crisis.
I am starting this GoFundMe because we urgently need help to rebuild our lives from the ground up. Funds will go toward securing safe housing for my family, replacing essential household items such as beds, clothing, kitchen items, and personal belongings, transportation needs so we can get to medical appointments and handle daily life, and ongoing care and recovery support for my boyfriend as he heals from his burn injuries.
This has been the most overwhelming and heartbreaking experience we’ve ever faced. Any help—big or small—means the world to us. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page is also deeply appreciated. Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
