Help Our Family recover after devastating hit-and-run
Donation protected
On Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 8:35 AM, our lives changed in an instant. My wife and our 18-month-old son were struck by an unlicensed and uninsured driver who ran a red light. The driver hit our vehicle on the driver’s side, launching it across the intersection into a traffic post on the passenger side. The driver fled the scene and was later apprehended.
Our son was seated directly behind the passenger seat. Thanks to his car seat, he was spared from more serious injury, though he did sustain bruising to his legs. My wife suffered sprains and internal bruising to her back, abdomen (both sides), arms, and legs. We are grateful they are alive, but the physical and emotional recovery is ongoing.
The crash totaled our family vehicle, which we depend on to get our three children to and from school and daycare. This vehicle wasn’t just our daily transportation—it was our family’s vehicle for all of our outdoor ventures. From camping trips and bike rides to weekend adventures and family getaways, this truck was how we made memories together. Losing it has been a major emotional and practical blow to our family.
With three little ones and two full-time working parents, reliable transportation isn't optional- it's essential. We're doing everything we can to manage the situation, but any support to help us get a safe, long-term family vehicle would mean the world.
If you’re able to support us with a donation, or by sharing our story, we would be truly grateful. Every bit of kindness helps our family heal and move forward.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.
With gratitude,
Oscar, Marbel, Penelope, Naya, and Luca
