My boyfriend was riding home from work on his electric scooter when he was hit by a vehicle late at night. Thankfully, a kind stranger saw what happened and pulled him out of the road, then came to our home to let me know. Our neighbor happened to be coming home at that moment and was able to take my boyfriend to the hospital. He suffered serious injuries, breaking all three bones in his arm, including his elbow, and needed surgery last week. The doctors say it will be close to six months before he can work again and up to a year before he can really use his left arm again.
We have four young kids, and I am home full-time caring for them. My boyfriend was our only source of income, and now we are facing a lot of uncertainty. We have been applying for assistance with SNAP, healthcare, and utility help, but the process has been slow and we haven't been approved for anything yet. The bills are piling up, and I am struggling to make ends meet while making sure our kids are cared for and my boyfriend can recover.
Any support—whether it's a donation, sharing our story, or even a prayer for God's guidance—would be a huge blessing to our family. Your kindness will help us keep a roof over our heads, pay for utilities, and cover the necessities while we work through this difficult time. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can offer.
