Help our family rebuild home & business (Beirut)

As many of you already heard, Beirut suffered a massive explosion on August 4th, causing unbelievable damage throughout the city and leaving us all speechless and in utter shock.  Many people got injured and  many innocent lives were lost.  Homes, businesses, and properties were destroyed. Our relatives are one of those families that lost their home and lifetime work as a result of the explosion.

Our family had a prospering business in the heart of Beirut, Lebanon. The family-owned company, Talge Luminaire, specializing in innovative lighting solutions and designs for residential, commercial, and outdoor projects, was founded 40 years ago. The founder and his kids have since been working passionately, building their brand, and offering to make "even the most daring concepts a reality".   They now complete projects all over the country, such as the Sursock Musem, ABC Ashrafieh mall and the Smallville hotel.  Their slogan is: “Lighting beyond limits”.

On August 4th 2020, at 6:07 PM, while they were at the store getting ready to close for the day, they lost everything.  Although injured, we are forever grateful that they have survived when the explosion took so many innocent lives and left the city in ruins. However, they lost their livelihood and home. They lost their office, their products and stock, and they also lost their house. They estimated their losses at around 3 million dollars. Given the circumstances, we shouldn’t be surprised that the future looks scary and uncertain and the whole country is fighting this unexpected tragic crisis.

We decided to act and help our loved ones by setting up this fundraising campaign. We are thankful that this world is full of good-hearted people willing to help however they can. For this reason, we, as a family, are asking you, people all around the world, to help our family get back on their feet. The funds raised will be sent directly to the family in Lebanon and will be used towards rebuilding their house and office and purchasing new products. We believe that together we can make a difference and bring hope and light back into their lives.

2020 has been tough for all of us, all over the world. However, in Lebanon, the situation is even more severe as people have been facing a collapse of the currency, an economic crisis previously unseen by the country, political unrest, and a pandemic.  And now, after the explosion, many lives seem to be completely ruined. Raising funds for people who are left without their homes and business is an act of solidarity and faith in human kindness as it could happen to any one of us. Please help us show our dear family that if they can offer the world “Lighting beyond limits”, we can offer them “Kindness beyond limits”.  Let’s help them regain the strength to start from scratch and let’s show some love to Talge Luminaire.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
