Our family recently experienced a devastating house fire that destroyed the home my parents have lived in for over 30 years in Belleville, NJ. It’s the house we grew up in, filled with a lifetime of memories, and in a matter of moments, everything was gone. We lost all of our belongings and were left with nothing but the clothes we had on. This has been especially difficult because I also have a toddler to care for, and we’re now trying to navigate day-to-day life without the essentials a child needs. My parents are starting over from scratch after decades in the same home, which has been incredibly overwhelming both emotionally and financially. We’re taking things one day at a time, but any support truly means the world to us as we try to rebuild our lives.

The funds will go toward helping our family cover immediate and essential needs as we begin to rebuild after the fire. This includes securing temporary housing, replacing basic necessities like clothing and personal items, and ensuring we have food and everyday supplies. A big priority is also making sure our daughter has everything she needs — from clothes and diapers to other essentials that help maintain some sense of normalcy for her during this difficult time. Any support will help us take the first steps toward stability as we work to rebuild our lives.
