On January 25th, 2026, our family experienced a devastating house fire caused by a chimney malfunction. Within a short time, the fire spread through the attic, and despite the fire department’s efforts, our home was lost. This home had recently come into our care after the passing of my wife’s mother last year. We had only just moved in and were in the process of getting established when this unexpected tragedy occurred. While the house was paid off, we had not yet secured homeowner’s insurance, which has made the loss even more difficult to navigate.
We are incredibly grateful that our entire family made it out safely. That is what matters most. At the same time, we are now facing the reality of starting over — finding stable housing and replacing basic necessities so our family can regain a sense of normalcy. This has been a humbling and disorienting experience, but we are choosing to take it one step at a time.
Any support offered during this season would help us meet immediate needs and begin rebuilding our lives. We are deeply thankful for your prayers, encouragement, and generosity. Your support reminds us that even in moments of loss, we are not alone. Thank you for standing with our family during this time.
