I never imagined I would be in a position to ask for help like this, but my family and I are facing an incredibly difficult time.

Recently and suddenly, we lost my fiancé's father - a loving father and grandfather whose passing has left us heartbroken. On top of the emotional loss, his death brought sudden financial changes. I was his IHSS caregiver, and with his passing, I lost my job. He also helped support our household by contributing to bills, which made a meaningful difference for our family.

Just two days after his passing, we were hit with another devastating blow: We received a 60-day notice to vacate our home. Our landlord has decided to sell the property, leaving us very little time to grieve, regroup, or plan our next steps.

With the loss of my job and the loss of his financial support, we are no longer going to be able to find a new home or live on just my fiancé's income because of the cost of living in California. Which is why we are looking to move out of state to be closer to family, more affordable living costs, and a fresh start, but the cost of moving and transitioning has been overwhelming.

This fundraiser is to help us cover moving expenses, basic necessities, and to give us some stability during this painful and uncertain time. Any support, whether it's just sharing or donations, means more than we can put into words.
