Help Our Family Rebuild After a Devastating House Fire ❤️‍

In the evening hours of October 28, a family’s world changed in an instant when a fire broke out in the kitchen of my aunt and uncle’s home in Denver, Colorado. What should have been an ordinary night turned into a devastating loss, and their home appears to be close to a total loss.

Our greatest relief is that all four of their children are safe: ages 9, 7, 3, and just 2 months old. We are beyond grateful that they are alive and safe, but the family is now facing the overwhelming reality of losing their home and so many of the belongings that made it theirs.

Tragically, five of their beloved dogs also lost their lives due to smoke inhalation. These were family pets, companions, and part of their everyday lives. Losing them in such a sudden and heartbreaking way has made an already devastating situation even harder.

My aunt and uncle have spent their marriage working hard to provide for their children despite significant financial challenges. My uncle lives with the lasting effects of a serious injury he suffered in his twenties and despite those medical challenges, shows up for his family day in and out . My aunt works as a school bus driver for the school district their children attend. They have continued to do their best for their family through difficult circumstances, and now they are facing one of the hardest challenges of their lives.

A house fire takes so much more than a building. It takes away the comfort of home, everyday necessities, familiar belongings, and the sense of stability that children deserve. With four young children, including a newborn, there are so many immediate needs to meet while they navigate insurance, temporary housing, and the long road toward rebuilding.

We are asking for help to ease some of this burden. Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help cover immediate needs and expenses that may not be covered by insurance, including temporary living costs, clothing, baby supplies, food, transportation, and replacing essential belongings as the family begins to rebuild.
