Help Our Family Lay Richard to Rest

My name is Jennifer Boswell (Jen), the daughter of Richard Ryan, whom we tragically lost early morning of September 10, 2021 at 0146.

My dad fell very ill and was taken by ambulance on August 26th with a dangerously low oxygen level. He started off doing well and his illness had worsened. He had pneumonia, which took a toll on his lungs. He was placed on a BiPap until that was no longer enough support. He was then placed on a ventilator on September 3rd and even flown to a larger hospital with more capabilities on September 4th. We remained so hopeful and prayed nonstop. On September 9, 2021, his health took a drastic decline with being on maximum supports.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, my mother, Debra Ryan...his 5 children...Matthew Ryan, Scott Ryan, Jason Ryan, Jason Haines as well as myself...and his many grandchildren. 

My dad was a very proud Navy Veteran, a proud American. He had so much love and respect for his country and our freedoms.

If you know my dad, you would also know how much he loved the outdoors. Fishing, especially, offroading, hunting, boating.

He was such a great friend to so many and we are so thankful for the support of all of you. A kind, caring, hilarious man.

In May of 2018, my parents officially retired and left Phelan, California and moved to Topock, Arizona, where we had all never seen them so happy. They have made even more amazing friends, all while living their retirement dream just minutes away from the river that my dad loved and respected so much.
