Hello, I’m Amber. My family and I did not want to resort to asking for help; however, we have found ourselves in a situation where we just don’t know what else we can do.

Our sweet dog, Bullet, sometimes runs out our front door and around the neighborhood. He doesn’t bother anyone; he just wants to get his energy out in hopes someone will chase him or he will find a dog to play with. A few weeks ago, Bullet ran toward another street from our front yard, and my fiancé, Eddie, got in his truck immediately to go get him. When he caught up with him just a few streets away, a man and a lady were visibly upset that our dog was out and on their property with their dog. The man had a gun pulled out as if he would shoot my dog if necessary, and the woman called the police saying my dog scratched her leg. Bullet is not aggressive and would not run toward a person when he gets loose, in fear that person would grab him to take him back inside. So, IF she got any scratch from my dog, it was not because he was aggressive toward her at all.

We got a ticket and had a court date which was 8-13-25. Eddie went by himself to the hearing because he was told it would just be a verbal warning and probably a fine to pay. We had no idea that lady would show up limping and pleading her case against our dog, and Eddie wouldn’t have even a minute to give a defense for our dog. We were fined $800 and told our dog cannot live in the city of Robertsdale for two years! And if he is caught at our house, Eddie would go to jail for 90 days!

We have had Bullet since 2022 when he was 8 weeks old. Our home is HIS home, the only home he has known. We were able to appeal and get Bullet to stay home during the process but had to pay $1700 to Robertsdale for that to even happen. Bullet wasn’t allowed to be at our house that day or night because the court has to give us proof to show police that we are appealing.

We are only asking for help in hiring a lawyer and for any legal fees - we would NEVER do this if we had another option. Please help us fight this and keep our Bullet at home!!
