Hello Everyone, 

My name is Daniel Batista. I am 73 years old and a New York City cab driver. I work about ten hours daily to make ends meet for my family. My wife is an assistant teacher at a preschool.  Together we are able to provide for us and our two daughters, Daniela (who recently turned 17) and Gabriela (who recently turned 15.)  

On Thursday, March 25th, my daughter Daniela was diagnosed with the Covid 19 Virus. She has been very unwell and has not gotten out of bed in days. We live in a humble apartment where she shares a room with her sister, who was then also infected with the virus. Lastly, I was infected, and am extremely unwell, to the point where I cannot get out of bed. I need to pay for rent, food, and utility bills in my house, but because my family and I have Covid 19, I cannot return to work. I can no longer afford my rent.
